BONE CONDUCTING TRANSDUCER M5 THREADED – Dayton Audio BCT Transducers produce sound through direct vibration of the bones in the head or are capable of converting surfaces into speakers via vibration when placed on materials such as desks, walls, doors, and many other materials. Centre actuator is removeable, it has a M5 screw.
Note: The frequency response is given when used as a bone conducting transducer. This will change when attached to a substrate, and different substrate materials will have different frequency responses.

Unlike conventional transducers that use moving air to produce sound around you, Dayton Audio BCT-2s (bone conducting transducers) convert the electrical signal into mechanical vibrations so clean, that the brain interprets the vibrating stimulus as excellent sound. Listener’s ears are left free to remain aware of their surroundings, increasing personal safety. When used against materials such as cardboard, wood, steel, and plastics, the BCT-2 operates much like a surface exciter and is capable of moving mass to produce robust sound output; much like an invisible speaker! BCTs are excellent for unique OEM sound applications and for the experimenter, where conventional speakers and exciters cannot be used due to size constraints. A cushioned, removable stand is included with the BCT-2 to turn your entire computer desk into a speaker without leaving behind marks. Additionally, you can apply epoxy to the stand for permanent attachment to a surface. The stand is removeable, exposing a M5 screw hole.
